The newly created Thousand Islands - Seaway Wine Trail which encompasses Jefferson County began its first season in 2007. The Thousand Islands - Seaway Wine Trail consists of four wineries, one grape nursery, and nineteen vineyards. The wine trail begins near Westcott Beach and includes the Yellow Barn Winery outside of Sackets Harbor, Coyote Moon in Clayton, The Thousand Islands Winery outside of Alexandria Bay near the Thousand Islands Bridge and Otter Creek Winery in Philadelphia, New York. Otter Creek Winery opened for business in April of 2007. Each of the winery's are located on historic farms and have their own vineyards.
